This was an exciting new project in Corona Del Mar for a client that owns multiple restaurants in the area. Our first challenge was to inventory all the existing equipment to give the client our best opinion of what could be reused to save on the overall costs of their new restaurant. We gave them a complete inventory of what we could reuse, what we could service and reuse and what needed to be removed. This saved the client over $20,000 dollars off their new construction costs. The nest was the new equipment and how we could value engineer the items that we could and keep the equipment that was specified by the chef and owner. We worked very closely with the chef to ensure that the kitchen would come within budget but be what the chef required to make the restaurant run properly.
We worked with the architect and general contractor to adjust equipment and design to meet the existing building challenges from walls being shorter than specified, bar walls being off due to building conditions and other existing walls being different than designed.
We were able to adjust all equipment, both custom and buyout to fit as the chef required and the installation came off making the chef and owner very happy.
